Group members include cancer survivors, caregivers, those walking through chronic illness, and anyone seeking natural, faith-filled support for healing. It’s a diverse, welcoming community united by hope and encouragement.
2. What makes HealingStrong groups unique?
HealingStrong groups are faith-based, focused on holistic healing (spirit, soul, and body), and deeply community-centered. We equip people to restore hope, rebuild health, and remain strong in their healing journey.
3. What is a HealingStrong Group Leader?
4. Do I need special qualifications or experience?
No special degrees or certifications are required. HealingStrong provides all the resources, training, and ongoing support you need. What’s most important is your commitment, compassion, and willingness to encourage others.
5. How much time does it take?
Most groups meet once or twice a month, usually for 1–2 hours. Preparation time is minimal since HealingStrong provides ready-to-use resources. Leaders typically commit 4-6 hours a month in total.
6. What kind of training or support will I receive?
- Leader Orientation: An introduction to HealingStrong’s mission, vision, and values.
- Curriculum & Materials: Access to lesson guides, discussion questions, and resources.
- Participant Support: All group participants are provided free access to a personalized “My HealingStrong Page” on the website, along with Participant Guidebook and additional resources and discounts.,
- Ongoing Support: Monthly leader calls, a private leader community, seasoned mentors, chaplains, and staff support when you need it.
- Encouragement & Fellowship: You’ll be part of a larger network of leaders worldwide.

That’s okay! Many of our leaders are first-time facilitators. HealingStrong will guide you step by step, and you’ll grow into your role with confidence. We offer seasoned Mentors who have been leading a group for a good long while and work closely with our home office team.
9. Do I need to host in my home?
No. Groups can meet in homes, churches, community centers, or online. You decide what works best for you and your community. We encourage in-person meetings, but support online meetings.
10. Can I co-lead with someone else?
Yes! Many leaders choose to partner with a friend, spouse, or fellow church member. Co-leading helps share responsibilities and provides extra support. We ask that anyone part of the leadership in your group will register as a group leader and experience the same opportunities as you.
11. How do I get started?
- Pray & Consider: Ask God if He is leading you to serve in this way.
- Sign-up Online: Fill out the Group Leader application at HealingStrong.org.
- Attend Orientation: Our team will connect with you to welcome you and answer questions and walk through training.
- Launch Your Group: We’ll help you get listed on our website so people can find your group.
